A Satisfying Death
The sun sets behind the ocean.
The sands of the beach that I stood upon,
slowly sank my feet in for a thousand miles.
As I began to see this as a way
out of the misery that I endured,
I also felt a bedrock halting me.
It was too good to happen.
The world which spewed me out,
refuses to take me back in.
For what reason was I put here?
Was it just to suffer?
Just to feel life crush me down.
The waves all begin
to tell me to hush,
in their deep baritone.
The final drop of sun,
like dew from a leaf,
fell out of sight.
The sky grew dark,
and the sea was black.
The only thing that separated
the sky from the sea,
